Summary

Smoked salmon pie is a classic of savory pies. The pie has a wonderfully soft potato base and plenty of juicy fillings.

Ingredients

BASE:

2ml water

50g butter

100g mashed potato powder

200g all purpose flour

FILLING:

150g Valio Gouda grated cheese

1 tbsp butter

300g warm smoked salmon

leek

3 eggs

200g cream cheese with garlic & herbs

100ml milk

½ grated lemon peel

ground black pepper

Guide

1 Heat water and butter in a saucepan and mix in the mashed potato powder. Remove the pot from the stove and let it cool for a while.

2 Add the flour and mix until smooth.

3 Press the dough on the bottom of a springform pan (ø 24 cm) and lift it to the edges.

4 Finely chop the leek and fry it in a pan with a little butter.

5 Put the smoked salmon in the pie dish and add the sauteed leek and grated cheese on top.

6 Mix eggs, cream cheese, milk and spices in a bowl. Pour the mixture over the dough.

7 Bake on the lower level of the oven at 200°C for approximately 30 minutes or until cooked.
