Bread Base
2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
Butter or soft spread like
Cucumber and cheese rolls
1 cucumber
A few leaves iceberg lettuce and red chard (or similar salad leaves)
4 Valio Edam slices
Fruit and cheese rolls
75 g apple, peach, or any fruit of your preference
4 Valio Gouda slices
Additional
Cocktail sticks (for serving/holding rolls together)
Guide
1 Bring the cheese to room temperature shortly before you start making the bread. This will make the cheese slices pliable. However, keep the packaging closed so the cheese doesn't dry out.
2 Butter the bread slices. Cut them in half.
Ham and cheese rolls
3 Rinse and dry the lettuce leaves. Cut the cucumber into strips the length of a cheese slice.
4 Wrap the cheese slices around the cucumber and lettuce. Secure the rolls to the bread with a cocktail stick.
Fruit and cheese rolls
5 Peel or cut the fruit to finger-thick sticks.
6 Wrap fruit sticks inside the cheese slices and attach to bread with the cocktail sticks.
