1 Bring the water, sugar and split vanilla bean to a boil (scrape out the seeds and add them to the mixture). Pour the sugar syrup into a clean jar with a lid. Stir in the rum. If you want, you can also heat the rum, which will evaporate some of the alcohol and soften the taste a little.
2 Wash the grapes and cut them in half. Place them in the rum mixture and let them marinate for at least one day.
3 Serve the grapes with Valio Edam Cutting Cheese.
