Cake with Valio PROfeel® Chocolate Protein Milkshake and Glaze

Summary

A fluffy and festive cake made with Valio PROfeel® Chocolate Protein Milkshake, topped with a smooth chocolate glaze. Note: Instead of Valio PROfeel® Chocolate Protein Milkshake, you can also use Valio PROfeel® Strawberry Ice Cream Milkshake.

Ingredients

For the Cake

250 g soft butter, plus a little extra for greasing the pan

4 eggs

450 ml Valio PROfeel® Chocolate Protein Milkshake

150 g sugar

2 vanilla capsules (vanillin)

500 g self-raising flour, plus a little extra for the pan

For the Chocolate Glaze

125 g dark couverture chocolate, broken into pieces

2 tbsp Valio PROfeel® Chocolate Protein Milkshake

1 tbsp butter

Candy decorations or coloured sprinkles

Guide

For the Cake:

1 Preheat the oven to 180°C.

2 In a mixer, beat the butter and sugar for 4–5 minutes, until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the mixture is smooth and pale.

3 Add the vanilla and mix briefly. Then reduce the speed of the mixer and pour in the Valio PROfeel® Chocolate Protein Milkshake.

4 Finally, add the self-raising flour gradually, continuing to mix on low speed until just combined.

5 Butter and flour a cake pan and pour in the batter. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes. Allow the cake to cool completely before adding the glaze.

For the Glaze:

1 Place the couverture chocolate, Valio PROfeel® Chocolate Protein Milkshake and butter in a small bowl and microwave for 1 minute, until everything melts.

2 Stir the mixture until smooth and spread it over the cooled cake.

3 Decorate with candy or any topping you like.
