Ingredients

Dough

  • 270 g wheat flour

  • 100 g Valio Cutting Cheese

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • 200 g cream cheese

  • 50 g butter

Filling

  • 200 g Valio Cheese Quattro Formaggi

  • 50 ml canned jalapeños (chopped)

  • ½ egg

For brushing

  • ½ egg

Guide

1 Mix the wheat flour, Valio cutting cheese, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add the cream cheese and butter, then mix until smooth. There is no need to knead the dough.

2 Chop the jalapeños. Grate the Valio cheese. In a separate bowl, mix the jalapeños, grated Valio cheese, and half an egg.

3 Lightly flour your work surface. Shape the dough into a ball, then roll it out into a round disc (about 35 cm in diameter). Cut the disc into eight triangles.

4 Spread the filling evenly over the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the triangles into croissants, starting from the wide end.

5 Place the croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with egg and sprinkle with a little Valio cheese on top.

6 Bake at 225°C for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
