Potatoes with sausage and cheese

Summary

We love potatoes in all their forms. From their lighter version like potato salad, to this so rich and delicious version. The sausage makes them spicy while the Valio's Quattro Formaggi and sour cream gives them a cheesy and creamy texture. What can we say? So irresistible!

Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes (about 1300g)
  • 40g (2 tbsp) unsalted butter, melted
  • 30ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 60g spicy sausage, (like chorizo) thinly sliced
  • 200g (1 cup) of sour cream
  • 150g (1 cup) Quattro Formaggi cheese, Valio
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • Salt

Guide

1Preheat the oven to 200°C, fan. Wash the potatoes well and cut them into pieces of about 3 cm. You don't need to peel them unless you want to. Put them on a baking tray.

2Pour the melted butter and olive oil over them. Mix well with your hands.

3Season with salt and sprinkle with pepper, paprika, cumin and garlic powder. Stir again to mix.

4Cover the pan with aluminium foil and bake to the oven for 45 minutes. Uncover the baking tray and scatter the sausage slices. Continue baking with the baking pan uncovered for 10 minutes.

5Spoon over sour cream and sprinkle with the Quattro Formaggi and spring onion. Continue baking for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.

6Serve immediately as a side dish.

Note: If it's potato season, make this recipe with small fresh potatoes halved. They are very tasty and sweet.
