Business Development Manager

The Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and business opportunities. This role involves market research and analysis, outreach to potential partners, negotiation, and collaboration across departments to ensure smooth onboarding and partnership integration. Reports to Business Development Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, industry developments, and new business opportunities.
  • Identify potential partners, assess their fit with the company’s goals, and recommend strategies for engagement.
  • Continuously analyse competitors and market conditions to refine business development strategies.
  • Analyse customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
  • Proactively reach out to prospective partners, presenting the company’s profile and value propositions and exploring areas of potential collaboration.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations, serving as the main point of contact for discussions.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to further business development goals.
  • Develop sales strategy and business plan together with sales and marketing functions.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A masters degree or MBA will be considered as an advantage.
  • Previous experience of at least 5 years in a business development, sales or marketing position in the FMCG or similar industry is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
